Tom Wajnert ’s business career spans forty years. His experience includes leading and governing large publicly-owned companies, engineering a $2 Billion management led LBO and subsequent sale, investing in and developing entrepreneurial opportunities, and providing advisory services. Tom is the retired Chairman and CEO of AT&T Capital Corporation and he currently is a Senior Advisor to Irving Place Capital Partners, a private equity group with over $6 Billion under management. He also has an extensive corporate governance experience serving on the Boards of several NYSE listed firms as well as privately owned companies. Tom currently serves on the Boards of 3 publicly owned companies: Reynolds American, the nation’s second largest tobacco company (NYSE, $10B…market cap), Lead Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee; UDR, a very large multi family REIT (NYSE, $2B) Chair of the Audit Committee, and NYFIX Inc., a leader in technology service for the securities industry (NASDAQ $200M), Lead Director
A graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology, Tom received his MBA from Southern Methodist University. He resides with his wife, Theresa, in Napa Valley, CA where they own and operate TNT Vineyards.
